Description	:	WESTFIELD, NC ~ Chesley York Tucker of Westfield went to be with the Lord Saturday April 5, 2008, passing away at Northern Surry Hospital in Mount Airy. He was born in Stokes County on June 8, 1919. He was a tobacco farmer and owned a construction company. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Tucker was of the Baptist faith and a faithful member of Westfield Baptist Church. Read More	WESTFIELD, NC ~ Chesley York Tucker of Westfield went to be with the Lord Saturday April 5, 2008, passing away at Northern Surry Hospital in Mount Airy. He was born in Stokes County on June 8, 1919. He was a tobacco farmer and owned a construction company. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Tucker was of the Baptist faith and a faithful member of Westfield Baptist Church. In addition, he was also a charter member of Westfield Volunteer Fire Department, as well as a member of Mount Airy VFW Post 2019. He is survived by his nephews, Terry Dean Inman and Todd Inman of Westfield; as well as his great-nephews, Lucas Inman and Cody Inman of Westfield; and great-niece Savannah Inman of Westfield. Preceding him in death were his wife, Madge Inman Tucker of Westfield; and brother Helon Tucker. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today, April 6, at Westfield Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joel Stephens and the Rev. Rickey Rogers officiating. Interment will follow with full military honors by VFW Honor Guard Mount Airy Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436 at Westfield Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. today, April 6, at Westfield Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westfield or Francisco Boy Scout Troop.
