Thomas, who left Pine Bluff three weeks ago after having been a resident of this city practically of his life, died of pneumonia at hour left blank_:30 o’clock Tuesday night in St. Bernard’s hospital, Jonesboro. Mr. Thomas, 49, was well known here, where his two brothers, Walter Thomas and Joe Thomas reside. He is also survived by a nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Thomas, with whom he made his home here, and their two children, Juanita and Everett, Jr. For many years Mr. Thomas was a saw filer for J. F. McIntyre and Sons and for the Arkansas Oak Flooring company. Three weeks ago he went to Jonesboro to accept a position and became ill with pneumonia about one week ago. In addition to his two brothers here, he is survived by several nieces and nephews. The remains will arrive here early in the morning and will be taken to the home of Everett Thomas at 1205 East Seventh avenue where services will be hedl at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon, by Rev. I. B. Hodges, pastor of Hazel Street Baptist church, and the Rev. Marvin Jaggars. Burial will be in Fitzhugh cemetery, in charge of Ralph Robinson and Son. Pallbearers will be as flows: Active: Bert Gibbs, Irvin Cearley, Hollis Watts, Delmar Schultz, Jack Robinson, Henry Bragg. Honorary: Sherman Purnell, Clarence Ferris, Tull Goodman, S. T.
