Description	:	CHRIS HENRY SANDQUIST, 57 years, of Lincoln, Nebraska, formerly of Lyons, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at his home in Lincoln after battling a long illness. Chris was born February 2, 1955, in Burke, South Dakota. He grew up in Lyons, Nebraska, graduating from Lyons High School in 1973. Following high school, he moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, where he worked for Monfort Trucking and later Krajlcek Trucking. Read More	CHRIS HENRY SANDQUIST, 57 years, of Lincoln, Nebraska, formerly of Lyons, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at his home in Lincoln after battling a long illness. Chris was born February 2, 1955, in Burke, South Dakota. He grew up in Lyons, Nebraska, graduating from Lyons High School in 1973. Following high school, he moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, where he worked for Monfort Trucking and later Krajlcek Trucking. He crisscrossed the country, meeting and making many friends along the way, whom he enjoyed talking to and spending time with. Chris served in the US Navy. Chris had a huge, kind heart and loved children. He always had a joke to tell, never met a stranger and will always be remembered with great love and affection by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Sandquist and brother, Darrell. Survivors include his father, Lester Sandquist of Lyons; sister, Beverly (George) Cook of Kingswood, TX, Sandra (Gayle) Posvar of Lyons; brothers, Roy (Elaine) Leibbrandt of Chadron, NE, Gary (Lori) Leibbrandt of Wilsonville, NE, Jerry Gilmore of Springfield, MO; son, Matthew Ellicott of Waverly, NE; stepchildren, Lori Hicks, Glen Alfrey and Robert Bradley all of Colorado; special friend, Terri Click of Lincoln; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews who adored him.
