Description	:	C.H. Christiansen Succumbs to Death C.H. Christiansen passed away at his home six miles southwest of Creighton on last Thursday after a short illness of dropsy of the heart. Although ailing for several years, he was not bedfast until the day before his death and passed away very peacefully. Mr. Christiansen was born on March 29, 1857 at Schleswig Holstein, Germany. Read More	C.H. Christiansen Succumbs to Death C.H. Christiansen passed away at his home six miles southwest of Creighton on last Thursday after a short illness of dropsy of the heart. Although ailing for several years, he was not bedfast until the day before his death and passed away very peacefully. Mr. Christiansen was born on March 29, 1857 at Schleswig Holstein, Germany. He came to America in 1882 and located at Clinton, Ia. In 1884 he was married to Lena Jacobson of Mason City, Ia. To this union three boys were born, one of which died two years ago. Mrs. Christiansen died on May 5, 1890 and he was remarried in Clinton, Ia. June 8, 1899. To this union seven children were born. Mr. and Mrs. Christiansen moved to Creighton in the spring of 1903 and have resided in this immediate vicinity ever since. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife and nine children, Paul of Winnetoon; E.H. of Sebaka, Minn. and Frederick, Joe and Chris at home and Ella, Christina and Anna, who also are at home and two sisters in Germany; one sister in Fulda, Minn. and three grandchildren and a host of friends, who attested their appreciation of his manly character by gathering in large numbers Monday morning, Sept. 6 at the Lutheran church, where funeral services were conducted by Rev.
