Description	:	St Paul Republican December 26, 1912 Christen Olsen Leth was born March 1, 1831 in Lillring, Denmark and died December 17, 1913 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Azel Moller in Dannevirke precinct after a short illness at the age of 81 years 8 months and 18 days. Mr Leth was married October 2, 1855 to Idta Marie Christensen in Lhowly, Denmark. To this union were born eleven children, two of whom died in infancy and of whom six sons and three daughters are still living, most of them in the Dannevirke precinct and all of them in America. Read More	St Paul Republican December 26, 1912 Christen Olsen Leth was born March 1, 1831 in Lillring, Denmark and died December 17, 1913 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Azel Moller in Dannevirke precinct after a short illness at the age of 81 years 8 months and 18 days. Mr Leth was married October 2, 1855 to Idta Marie Christensen in Lhowly, Denmark. To this union were born eleven children, two of whom died in infancy and of whom six sons and three daughters are still living, most of them in the Dannevirke precinct and all of them in America. On April 6, 1883, the family left Denmark, some of the children having come to America before and arrived in Howard county on April 28 of the the same year and settled on the farm on which Mr. Leth was living when he died. A few years ago Mr Leth retired from farming and built a home near the Dannevirke Church where he and his wife lived until she died on December 30th of last year. Since that time he has lived with his children. Mr Leth was a successful farmer possessed considerable means, and was a kind husband and father. He was loved by his children and honored and respected by all who knew him. He was of a kind and cheerful disposition and active member of the church and a man that an influence for good in the community. The funeral took place from the Lutheran church of which he was a member. The six sons were pallbearers and the choir consisted solely of his grandchildren. He leaves six sons, three daughters, sixty grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren to mourn his death.
