Above information for children's names - 1930 census for Creighton, Knox, Nebraska. -------------------------------------------- Contributor, [email protected] sent the following: Mrs. Clem Prenger, 83 Passes; Rites Sunday Funeral services for Mrs. Clem Prenger, 83, who died Wednesday, July 27 at Plainview General Hospital, were conducted Saturday morning at St. Ludger Catholic Church. The Rev. Paul E. Schneider officiated. Burial was in St. Ludger Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons: Don and Tom Prenger, David and James Kulhanek, Neil and Dean Dartman. Mrs. Prenger suffered a stroke last Jan. 15 and since then has been hospitalized at Creighton and Plainview. Christina Koenig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Koenig, was born June 18, 1883 at Halbur, Ia. She grew up and attended school there. On Sept. 29, 1908, she was married to Clem H. Prenger at Halbur. Ten children were born to them, one dying in infancy. Following their marriage, they lived at Naper for ten years, moving to a farm southwest of Creighton in 1918. In 1928 they moved into Creighton. Mrs. Prenger was a member of St. Ludger Catholic Church, the Altar Society and Catholic Daughters of America. Mr. Prenger died March 10, 1962 and since then Mrs. Prenger had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Joe Dartman and family. Surviving are four daughters and five sons, Laurence of South Sioux City, Hilbert of Richland, Ia., Raymond of North Hollywood, Calif., Clem Jr. of San Jose, Calif., LaVena Hill of Atherton, Calif., Mrs. Ray (Rose Lee)Charleston, Mrs. Joe (Evelyn) Kulhanek and Gene Prenger of Fremont and Mrs. Joe (Viola) Dartman of Creighton; 22 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; one brother, Will Koenig of Ogallala and one sister, Mrs. Mary Bornback of Staatford. Wis. Her parents, husband, an infant child, five brothers, and two sisters preceded her in death. ....The Creighton News 8 Aug. 1966
