CHRISTINA ULMER RITES HELD Sutton - Christina Ulmer, the daughter of John and Karolina Behlender [sic] Boehler, was born February 24, 1906 at Odessa, Russia and died at Aurora, Nebraska on April 4, 1975, following a short illness, at the age of 69 years, 1 month and 10 days. As a small girl, she came with her parents to America where they settled near Sutton, Nebraska. Most of her lifetime was spent in that vicinity where she received her education in the public schools. CHRISTINA ULMER RITES HELD Sutton - Christina Ulmer, the daughter of John and Karolina Behlender [sic] Boehler, was born February 24, 1906 at Odessa, Russia and died at Aurora, Nebraska on April 4, 1975, following a short illness, at the age of 69 years, 1 month and 10 days. As a small girl, she came with her parents to America where they settled near Sutton, Nebraska. Most of her lifetime was spent in that vicinity where she received her education in the public schools. On February 27 1927 she was united in marriage to Arthur Fuehrer at Sutton. They resided in that vicinity all their wedded life. Her husband preceded her in death on June 24, 1970. At an early age she joined the Emmanuel Reformed Church in Sutton where she was active in church affairs. After moving to Aurora in 1971 she transferred her membership to the United Methodist Church here and was active in the affairs of the Church as long as her health permitted. On August 4, 1971 she was married to Herman H. Ulmer. They made their home in Aurora. Mr. Ulmer died July 14, 1974. She continued to reside here until her death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John and William Boehler and three sisters, Mrs. Sophie Horst, Mrs. Martha Scheerer and Mrs. Clara Moss. Her survivors include one step son, Harris Ulmer of Aurora; one step daughter, Mrs. Darlene Vauck of Sutton; three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Eshelman of Lincoln, Mrs. Frieda Wyman of Yankton, South Dakota and Mrs. Emma Johnson of Seattle, Washington; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren and many other relatives and close friends who will cherish her memory. Services were held Tuesday, April 8, 1975 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Aurora with the Reverend Merwyn Davidson officiating and at 2:00 p.m. at the Emanuel Reformed Church of Sutton with the Reverend Vernon Pollema officiating. Interment was in the Sutton Cemetery. Casketbearers were Bill Ulmer, Raymond Boehler, Maynard Boehler, Kenneth Friesen, Arnold Boehler and Lawrence Boehler.
