Description	:	Christie Gillies was born on 23 May 1832 in Portree, Inverness-shire, her father, Donald, was 47, and her mother, Margaret, was 45. As a young child, she took passage, with her family, aboard the Midlothian Ship and immigrated to Sydney. She married Robert Campbell on 13 May 1854 in New South Wales.
