Description	:	Baughman Christina was born in Columbiana County, Ohio 4 miles west of New Lisbon April 6, 1805. She resided there with her parents, Jacob and Mary Young, until after the War of 1812 when her father sold his home and moved to Wooster, Wayne County, Ohio. In 1814 he moved his family to what was then Mohican County, now Ashland County, Orange Twp, where he entered a section of land and where he lived the remainder of his life. There were 12 children, 2 sons and the daughters in the family, Christiana being the 6th. Two sisters now survive her.... She married Samuel Baughman Aug. 10, 1826 in Ashland County, where they lived until 1853. In Oct. of that year they came to Noble County, Ind. and settled on a farm 2 miles south of Lisbon, where they lived a number of years. They afterward moved to Lisbon and finally they were obliged by increasing infirmities to reside with their children.. During the past 12 years they lived most of the time with their daughter, Mrs. Hannah E. Cribbs. They were the parents of 5 sons and 5 daughters. Two sons and one daughter are deceased. Mr. Baughman departed this life Dec. 15, 1891. She died at Lisbon at the home of George Cribbs Sept. 25 at 9 o'clock. She had lived to see 2 children of the 5th generation. There are now living 7 children, 46 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral was at Lisbon on Sept. 27. Burial, Lisbon Cemetery. ^ 10-6-1899
