Foldesi of Arlington, WA; 5 grandchildren, James M. Foldesi of Richmond, Shawn Foldesi of Arlington, WA, Bryan Foldesi of Everett, WA, Christopher Foldesi of Greenville, NC, and Julie Foldesi of New York, NY; 2 great-grandchildren, Bryanna and Suzanne Foldesi of Everett, WA; a sister, Ruby Kelly of Colonial Heights; two brothers, Eldridge Jordan of Clemmons, NC and Ira (Billy) Jordan of Panama City, FL; a sister-in-law, Alice Marie Jordan of Varina and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, William (Billy) Foldesi, sisters, Gertrude Davidson, Iris Salmons, Violet Willis, and a brother Rayton Jordan. Christine was a devoted wife and mother, and a member of Saint Patrick's Church for more than 50 years, where she did volunteer work for the church and the school. She was the first school bus driver for St. Patrick's school, and is especially remembered by the students that she drove around the state to basketball games. Christine worked for 35 years as a secretary and bookkeeper for two electrical contractors, and was an active member of Women in Construction. She was also a member of the Varina Women's Club for many years. However, the love of her life was square dancing. She belonged to several square dance clubs in the Richmond area and never missed a chance to get out and show her stuff. Her passion for traveling took her all over the world, where she enjoyed meeting people of many different cultures, volunteering to participate in ethnic dances and activities whenever she could. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church, 213 North 25th Street, Richmond, VA. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 16, 2009, 12 noon to 2 PM, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, where a funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 2 PM. Interment to follow in Washington Memorial Park.
