Description	:	Christine was born on Feb 6, 1891 in Hayward, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Christian Olson Ness and Marie Olson "Mary" Grotheim who were both born in Norway but married in Eagle Point, Wisconsin on Oct 10, 1882. Christine's father died in 1900 and her mother, Mary took the 4 girls and moved from Hayward to Chippewa Falls, WI and later to Minneapolis, MN. In 1913 Christine’s mother, Mary and sister, Minnie traveled by train to Lewistown, MT and then by freight wagon to the Blackfoot area of Garfield County and took out a homestead. She was the daughter of Christian Olson Ness and Marie Olson "Mary" Grotheim who were both born in Norway but married in Eagle Point, Wisconsin on Oct 10, 1882. Christine's father died in 1900 and her mother, Mary took the 4 girls and moved from Hayward to Chippewa Falls, WI and later to Minneapolis, MN. In 1913 Christine’s mother, Mary and sister, Minnie traveled by train to Lewistown, MT and then by freight wagon to the Blackfoot area of Garfield County and took out a homestead. Christine and her sister Louise came later. Christine, her mother and her 3 sisters all took homesteads in the Blackfoot area. After marrying George she sold her homestead as it was to far from George's to be of much help in those days. They lived and worked George's homestead. Christine had a twin sister who died at birth. She also had 2 younger sisters who died at birth and an older sister who died at less than 2 months old. She married George Beck Lervick in 1918 in Miles City, Montana. He became the father to her son Rolfe Clinton Lervick who was born Aug 1, 1916. They also had 5 children, Melville Lervick, 1919-1924, Clifford Lervick, born 9-28-20, Nina Lervick Hetherington, born 6-5-22, Georgia Lervick Cantlon, born 11-18-24, and Alfhild Louise Lervick 4-9-30 to 9-24-30. Christine was ill and in Miles City for care when little Melville got sick and died of Infantile Paralysis. The kids were all with her sister at the Alex McDonald home when this happened. Christine was known through the country for her ability to "find and know things". She made her spending money by doing this. She had many people travel to their home for her to see things for them. To many, this ability would not seem possible but with the number of stories and number of people who swore this was true, it's hard for her grandchildren to question the validity. She loved to play cards but her children often complained that she knew what cards they were holding. Every time!! She was by all accounts a rare lady. She died on Jan 26, 1952 and is buried in Butte Creek Cemetery.
