She was baptized April 11, 1909 at Immanuel Lutheran Church and confirmed on May 1, 1917 at Immanuel Lutheran Church by Rev. Pohlman. She grew up in rural Adams County west of Glenvil and attended country school District #71. She married WALTER F. CLASSEN on April 16, 1933. On June 11, 1948, she married Karl Mendenhall in Central City, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on May 22, 1968. They moved to Grand Island, Nebraska where she was an aide at the Soldiers & Sailors Home (Nebraska Veterans Home) until her retirement. She resided in Grand Island until 1995 when she moved to Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, Nebraska. Christine Mendenhall was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Karl, a son, Darrel W. Classen, 3 sisters and 1 brother. Survivors include, Sister: Marie Enninga - Mitchell, NE Nieces & Nephews Memorial maybe given to Harvard Rest Home - Harvard, NE Butler-Volland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
