She worked and retired from Dale Electronics in Columbus. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Silver Creek and was active in the Alter Society and Choir. She had a close relationship with all her family and enjoyed gardening, flowers, crocheting, going to bingo, and dancing to Polish music. She was preceded in death by: Parents Joseph and Ursula Kalinowski Husband: Frank Kmiecik Daughter: Bernadine Podraza Brothers: Stanley, John, Anthony, Sigmund, Edward, Dominic, Frank, Henry, Joseph, and Carl Kalinowski Sisters : Esther Grenwalt, Gertrude Grayek, Helen Paprocki, Agnes Podraza, Anna Ogarsolka, and Irene Zouha --------------------- KALINOWSKI - KMIECIK Clara Kalinowski, daughter of Joseph Kalinowski of Farwell, and Frank Kmiecik, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kmiecik of Silver Creek, were married at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at Farwell on Tuesday morning, Nov. 18, Fr. Hinzmann officiating. Attendants were Miss Irene Kalinowski, sister of the bride, and Louis Zelasney of Columbus, cousin of the groom. The bride wore a beautiful white satin brocade dress, princess style, floor length, a long flowing veil, white slippers, and carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums. Her sister wore an aqua blue satin dress of a similar pattern and carried a bouquet of white and pink carnations. The groom and best man wore dark suits, the groom having a white carnation in his coat lapel, and the best man a pink carnation. Immediately following the ceremony a dinner was served to the immediate relatives at the home of the bride, and that evening a wedding dance was held at Silver Creek. The bride was born and raised in the Farwell neighborhood where she made many friends because of her pleasant personality. The groom was born and raised in this vicinity and has lived in town for the past several years, having employment with the Union Pacific. For the present they plan to make their home with the groom's parents. Silver Creek Sand, November 21, 1941
