Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1 and noon-1 p.m. on Thursday. Clara Hopkins was born Aug. 12, 1938, in Columbus to Charles and Emma (Kudron) Nickolite. She attended St. Bonaventure Schools. Clara was united in marriage to Boyd Jiggs Hopkins on July 13, 1955. She lived in rural Butler County for most of her life before returning to Columbus. Clara enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with her family. She is survived by son Jess (Brenda) Hopkins of Fort Morgan, Colorado; daughter Jane (Joseph) Kiser of Inman, son Jeffry Hopkins of Columbus, daughter Jill (Paul) Mohr of Creston, son Jake (Jennifer) Hopkins of Bellwood; 16 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; brother Eugene (Virginia) Nickolite of Bellwood, brother Theodore (Birdie) Nickolite of Bellwood, brother Mark Nickolite of Aztec, New Mexico; brother William (Mary) Nickolite of Hershey, sister Joan Cech of Columbus, sister Nancy (Jerome) Gabel of Columbus, sister Sharon Nickolite of Columbus; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by parents Charles and Emma Nickolite, son James Hopkins, sister Linda Fleischer, sister Patricia Ann Nickolite, sister Charlene Hoegerl, brother Virgil Nickolite, brother Charles Nickolite, Jr., brother Dewey Nickolite, sister Betty Robertson, and brother Richard Nickolite.
