Description	:	Clara Augusta Lloyd, daughter of Francis A. Lloyd and Julia Good Lloyd, was born September 11, 1859, at Xenia, Ohio. She came to Kansas when a girl and resided in the Rising Star neighborhood on Otter Creek. She was married to Jesse E. Rossel June 25, 1879. Three children, twins who died in infancy, and a daughter, Mrs. Ada Hanson of Eureka. There is one grand son, John Hanson, She is also survived by two step-sons, W. L. Rossel of Meade, Kansas and Jesse Rossel of Mr. Vernon, Washington, also one foster daughter, Mrs. Clara... Read More	Clara Augusta Lloyd, daughter of Francis A. Rossel June 25, 1879. Three children, twins who died in infancy, and a daughter, Mrs. Ada Hanson of Eureka. There is one grand son, John Hanson, She is also survived by two step-sons, W. L. Rossel of Meade, Kansas and Jesse Rossel of Mr. Vernon, Washington, also one foster daughter, Mrs. Clara May of Hitchcock, Oklahoma, a half borther, G.H. Dowell of Bisbee, Arizona and two half-sisters, Miss Gertrude Dowell and Mrs. Laura Grimes of Pagona Springs, Colorado. She had been a member and faithful attendant of the Methodist Church since early girlhood and was also a member of the Women's Relief Corpe and lived an active useful life. She was always ready to help her neighbors and friends intime of sichness and troubles. For some time her health has be failing. She was taken to the hospital for treatment and care where she depaarted this life May 26, 1922. The funeral services were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. O. Hanson, Sunday May 28, conducted by Rev. Geo. Botocourt. Interment was made in the family lot in Greenwood Cemetery. From Eureka Messenger June 1922.
