Description	:	OBITUARY The lamp of another life has gone out, the last page of another human history has closed. Mrs. Clara Baird Workman was a native of this state, having been a citizen of this county all her life. She lived at her parents home in Home Prairie community and attended Sunday school at the M.E. church during her childhood days. She was converted to Christ at an early age and was united in marriage with Clarence E. Workman, Feb. 25, 1894. Read More	OBITUARY The lamp of another life has gone out, the last page of another human history has closed. Mrs. Clara Baird Workman was a native of this state, having been a citizen of this county all her life. She lived at her parents home in Home Prairie community and attended Sunday school at the M.E. church during her childhood days. She was converted to Christ at an early age and was united in marriage with Clarence E. Workman, Feb. 25, 1894. Since that time they have resided near the town, or in Milton, with the exception of a few months which was spent in the west, in an effort to regain her health. In 1898, during a revival meeting conducted at Home Prairie church by the writer and his brother, she and her husband was reclaimed and united with the Methodist Protestant church. She has ever remained a faithful member. She was a long but patient sufferer and underwent a severe surgical operation on the 20 of December, 1907, from which she never fully recovered. Her home going occured [sic] Feb. 12, and had she lived one day longer she would have reached her 31st birthday. She leaves her husband, Mr. Clarence E. Workman, a daughter, Lelia, twelve years of age, one sister, Josie Nichols of Longmont, Colo; two brothers, Lemuel and Morris Baird; her mother-in-law, Mrs. N. I. Workman, who so kindly cared for her during her last illness, and other relatives and a host of friends mourn their sad [cut off] The funeral took place Friday, Feb. 14, at 1:30 p.m. at the Methodist Protestant Church in Milton. The large crowd that was in attendance and the many beautiful flowers were evidence of the high esteem in which the deceased was held and expressed the kind of sympathy which is characteristic of the people of Milton in the time of sorrow and bereavement.
