Description	:	Clara Loftus, 94, of Fullerton died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, at Beverly Health Care in Fullerton. Clara was born June 27, 1916, at Bellwood to Frank and Margaret (Beringer) Steiner. She married Arthur R. Loftus on May 2, 1949. He died in 1983. Survivors are: son, LaVern Arthur Loftus of Wichita, Kan.; former daughter-in-law, Kay (James) Hoffman of Wichita, Kan.; grandchildren, Tabetha (Scott) Lewis, Amy Dooley, Matthew and Sarah; and four great-grandchildren, Tristen, Eric, Conner and Duncan Lewis and a host of friends and relatives. Clara was born June 27, 1916, at Bellwood to Frank and Margaret (Beringer) Steiner. She married Arthur R. Loftus on May 2, 1949. He died in 1983. Survivors are: son, LaVern Arthur Loftus of Wichita, Kan.; former daughter-in-law, Kay (James) Hoffman of Wichita, Kan.; grandchildren, Tabetha (Scott) Lewis, Amy Dooley, Matthew and Sarah; and four great-grandchildren, Tristen, Eric, Conner and Duncan Lewis and a host of friends and relatives. Clara attended St. Mary's Luxemburg School. She was a resident of Bellwood, Genoa and Fullerton all her life. They owned and operated Clara's Cafe for 35 years. After her marriage, her husband joined her in the cafe. They retired in 1978. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crochet and embroidery work. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and St. Ann's Altar Society. She was preceded in death by her husband; sisters, Susie Eberly, Mary Bongers, Dorothy Kudrna; and brothers, Jake, Joseph, Francis and Walter Steiner.
