Six generations of her family gathered at Christmas this year. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mabel Roberts of 1025 S. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mabel Roberts of 1025 S. Madison at 4:40 a.m. The daughter of Alexander and Jane Clark Garrettson, she was born March 10, 1876, at Floris. She had been a resident of Ottumwa most of her life. On March 27, 1894, she married James Dunning at Bloomfield. He died in 1934. She was also preceded in death by three children and five sisters. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Daisy Padgett, Mrs. Mabel Roberts, Mrs. Ruby Roberts and Mrs. Dorothy Arter, all of Ottumwa; one son, James (Buck) Dunning of Ottumwa; 31 grandchildren, including David Dunning, who was raised in her home; 71 great-grandchildren; 38 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Reece Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Belger will officiate. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
