Description	:	Clara Colburn Morgan daughter of W.K. and Harriet Colburn was born in this County on October 4, 1879 and passed away at Harlan, Iowa on March 9, 1954 at the age of 74 years, 5 months and 5 days. Mrs Morgan was Baptized as an infant in the Methodist church and remained as active member throughout her life. She attended grade school at Defiance and in Rural Schools, after which she attended Harlan High School. She taught Rural school for a short time. Read More	Clara Colburn Morgan daughter of W.K. and Harriet Colburn was born in this County on October 4, 1879 and passed away at Harlan, Iowa on March 9, 1954 at the age of 74 years, 5 months and 5 days. Mrs Morgan was Baptized as an infant in the Methodist church and remained as active member throughout her life. She attended grade school at Defiance and in Rural Schools, after which she attended Harlan High School. She taught Rural school for a short time. On March 13, 1899 she was married to Stanley Morgan and they moved to a farm five miles east of Harlan. To this union were born three children; LeRoy of Harlan, Fred of Des Moines and Mrs Ruth Tague of Harlan. Mrs Morgan was a member of the Friday club and was active in that group until prevented by reason of poor health in recent years. Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, two brothers and two sisters. Surviving in addition to the three children are one brother Jay C. Colburn of Harlan, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, March 5 at the Pauley funeral home with burial in Harlan cemetery. The Rev.
