Description	:	The daughter of George W. and Joanna C. (Keen) Thompson. Clara was 15 years of age when she married Albert L. Jordan at the M.E. Church, Cumberland, RI on July 4, 1862. The couple had one child, Clara Etta Jordan, born in 1865 and who died unmarried in 1923. Due to her husband having been wounded at the Battle of Gettysburg on July 2, 1864 and essentially crippled, Clara supported the family by operating a boarding house near the train station in Franklin and by also serving luncheon meals to town residents.
