Description	:	ROYAL--Mrs. Carl Rabbass, a resident of the Royal community for 40 years before going to Clearwater 10 years ago, passed away at her home Saturday evening after a lingering illness. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday from the Lutheran Church at Clearwater. Interment was in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Royal. Clara Dorothea Anthony was born at Valparaiso, Ind., Jan. 5, 1879. She married Carl Rabbass, March 17, 1897 at Malmo at the home of her sister, Lena, now Mrs. Henry Frahm of Grant. Mr. and Mrs. Rabbass began their married life on a farm near Wisner, where they lived for 40 years.... Mr. and Mrs. Rabbass began their married life on a farm near Wisner, where they lived for 40 years. They moved to Chambers and, then, to Clearwater. Nine children were born to this marriage, eight of whom survive. They are Mrs. Floyd Frahm of Page, Mrs. Russell Burch of Royal, Mrs. Alva Rice of Clearwater Alma Rabbass of Neligh, Louis of Orchard, Harold of Blair and Leonard of Boston, Mass. A daughter, Mrs. William Glampe of Elgin, died a number of years ago, leaving a small daughter, Jeanette, whom Mrs. Rabbass cared for. Besides the husband and children, she is survived by 23 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; four sisters, Lena Frahm of Grant, Amelia Jacobsen of Neligh, Hattie Glover of Whiting, Ia and Mrs. George Jones of Cedar Bluffs. ...The Creighton News 11 Feb 1954
