Description	:	Clara Eunice Curry, 94, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday morning, May 25, 2010, at the Riverview Assisted Living in Lewellen where she had lived for the past four months. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Oshkosh with Wayne Fraass, P.M.A. officiating. Read More	Clara Eunice Curry, 94, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday morning, May 25, 2010, at the Riverview Assisted Living in Lewellen where she had lived for the past four months. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Oshkosh with Wayne Fraass, P.M.A. officiating. Interment will follow in the Lisco Memorial Cemetery south of Lisco. Eunice was born November 6, 1915, to Percy and Mary (Herfert) Davis in the sandhills northeast of Lisco. She lived all her life in Garden County. In the fall of 1921, Eunice was one of the first, first graders to the new Lisco Grade and High School building. In May 1933, she graduated as Valedictorian of her class. During high school, she did outside study and passed 17 subjects the Normal Training students must pass before they receive teaching certificates to teach three years. She then attended Chadron State College and received her Nebraska Teaching Certificate and taught Box A School District south of Rackett. This is where she met Elwyn "Pete" Curry and they were married on June 1, 1937, at her parent's home near Lisco. To this union a son, Roger LeRoy was born on July 26, 1938 in Alliance and died in infancy, a daughter, Lyla Berdine was born on November 28, 1940 at Oshkosh and a son, Roy Lee was born October 27, 1944 at Omaha and came to live with the family in January 1946. She taught District #64 and Well Valley School and also did substitute teaching for several years. She belonged to the Nimble Fingers Club for 72 years, took part in the Rackett Community 4-H Leaders, loved to play cards and bingo, eating meals at the Senior Center and enjoyed working in her yard and garden. She is survived by her daughter, Lyla Rice of Ashby; granddaughters, Melinda Rice of Kechi, KS, Tammy (Doug) Adams of Whitefish, MT; grandsons, Jim Rice (Tiffany Schacher) of Ashby, Scott Curry of Kalispell, MT, Chris (Apple) Curry of Thailand; great-grandsons, Zeb Berch of Peculiar, MO, Logan Bee of Whitefish, MT, Beau James Rice of Ashby, Ethan Curry of Thailand; great-granddaughters, Nicholette, Samantha and Molly Rose Bee of Whitefish, MT; grandson-in-law, Zack Berch of Ashby; sisters-in-law, Bernetha Groves of Lewellen, Darlene Davis of Ft. Collins, CO; brother-in-law, Bob Rexroth of Gurley, NE and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwyn "Pete" Curry; her parents; sons, Roger LeRoy and Roy Lee Curry; granddaughter, Kathy Berch; son-in-law, Herschell Rice; three sisters, Ceclia Wiggins, Martha Miller, and Ruth Roxroth; and three brothers, Percy Davis, Jr., Alvin "Pete" Davis and Stanley "Jack" Davis.
