She was born May 20, 1891 in South Dakota and came to Washington as a child of eight with her parents, who settled north of Davenport. In 1908 she was married to Ed Green in Davenport. They resided north of Davenport by the Spokane River until 1917, when they moved to Edwall, where Mr. Green was mail carrier. They reared their family of nine children there. In 1941 they retired and returned to the home of their youth in Mill Canyon, north of Davenport, where they lived until Mr. Green's death in 1969. Mrs. Green then moved to Davenport, where she made her home until this fall. Because of her failing health, she then moved to Spokane to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Evanoff, on Brown's Mountain. Mrs. Green is survived by 96 descendants; one son, Robert Green of Bothell, WA; 8 daughters: Mrs. Victor (Ellen) Wulff, Mrs. Lawrence (Lois) Evanoff, Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy Monk) Jacobson, all of Spokane; Mrs. Marian Strunk of Seattle; Mrs. Emmett (Esther) Burns of Vashon Island, WA; Mrs. Bob (Meryl) Pruitt of Eatonville, WA; Mrs. Herb (Rhoda) Williams of Waukon; Mrs. Clem (Ruth) Duenwald of Edwall; 30 grandchildren; and 59 great grandchildren. Mrs. Green's funeral was held Wednesday, Dec 26 at 2 p.m. from the Strate Funeral Home. Roger Foster of the World Wide Church of God, of which Mrs. Green was a member, officiated the service. Special music was provided by the granddaughters, with her grandsons serving as pall bearers." (Davenport Times: 12-27-1979)
