She was a member of the Stanley United Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Jackie Stepp of Shenandoah; two brothers, Douglas and Jackie Dillard McDaniel, both of Stanley; five sisters, Judith Long, Bobbie Hilliard, Paula Morris and Kay Crawford, all of Stanley, and Jane McDaniel of Luray; two grandchildren, Lindsey Turner of Alexandria, and Char Turner of Shenandoah; and one great-grandchild, Emma Turner of Shenandoah. She was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Cave; three sisters, Janet McDaniel, Connie Barrack and Mary Parlett; and a brother, David McDaniel. A funeral service was conducted on Sunday, July 15, at the Stanley United Methodist Church by Pastor Anne Sisson and Evangelist Doug Gochenour, with visitation prior to the service. Burial was in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Luray. Memorial contributions may be made to Sentara Hospice Services, 2000 Beery Rd., Harrisonburg, Va. 22801. (Paid Obituary)
