She was born March 29, 1901 in the Reecer Creek area at the home of her parents, the late Clinton M. and Elda Evans Cahoon. She first married Homer Stewart on September 16, 1917 in Ellensburg. She was born March 29, 1901 in the Reecer Creek area at the home of her parents, the late Clinton M. and Elda Evans Cahoon. She first married Homer Stewart on September 16, 1917 in Ellensburg. Following his death in 1967, she and John Lenz were married. She had been an Ellensburg area resident all her life except for eight years when she lived in the Olympia-Kent area. She returned to Ellensburg to make her home two years ago. She was a member of the Grandmother's Club and the Silver Circle. Survivors in addition to be husband include three daughters, Bernice Bradshaw, Ellensburg, Elsie Tonasket, Seattle, and Helen Betts, Vancouver, Washington; one brother, Clarence Cahoon, Snohomish; one sister, Hazel Seiffert, Haines, Alaska; 18 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and three stepdaughters, Mrs. Harrell (June) Bender and Alice Bender, both of Ellensburg, and LaVonne Martin of Othello. Funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Evenson Chapel. Burial will follow at High Valley Memorial Cemetery. Ellensburg Daily Record, October 25, 1979
