She worked at the Presque Isle Nursing Home in the kitchen when it first opened and then worked in housekeeping at the Aroostook Medical Center, Presque Issle until her retirement, she did volunteer work for RSVP for 23 years. She was born 3-20-1915 in Presque Isle, the daughter of Victor and Mary Jane (Gardiner) Soucie. She was a lifelong resident of Presque Isle. She worked at the Presque Isle Nursing Home in the kitchen when it first opened and then worked in housekeeping at the Aroostook Medical Center, Presque Issle until her retirement, she did volunteer work for RSVP for 23 years. She loved being with people and always had to have "her hugs". She enjoyed cooking and collecting recipes. Her hobby was buying and receiving cook books. She enjoyed shopping, more to see and talk to people than to shop. She will be sadly missed by her puppy, "Buffy" and 2 special friends, Ruby Browning and Sarah Brown. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by 1 son, Danny Stephenson, 2 sisters, Elizabeth Hayes and Alvena Soucie. She is survived by a daughter, Jean Stephenson of Presque Isle, a special sister in law, Dorothy Stephenson of Mapleton, a granddaughter, Beth Walker and her husband, Carl of Scarborough, a grandson, Scott Stephenson and his wife, Emily of Augusta, 3 special great granddaughters, Samantha, Tabatha and McKinzie Stephenson, all of Augusta, a sister, Florence Pray of Presque Isle, a brother, Fred and his wife, Vera of Presque Isle, 3 sisters in law, Clara, Ada and Fernette Stephenson, all of Presque Isle. Burial Fairmount cemetery.
