Read More	Death Came to Mrs. A. L. Miller Last Friday Evening Death came to Mrs. A. L. Miller at the home of her daughter Mrs. Clarence Carey at New Castle, Wyoming, last Friday. The body was returned to Benkelman Sunday and funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. C. Foster at the United Presbyterian church Monday afternoon, with interment in the Benkelman cemetery. Mrs. Miller's death occasioned a little surprise on the part of relatives and friends because they had known for many years that she could not survive and that it was only a matter of time until the approach of the end. But death, no matter how much expected, always carries with it both shock and deep sorrow because it brings to an end the earthly existence of one who was loved and revered during the short time that is allotted to humankind at best. For nineteen years Mrs. Miller had been an invalid. From a state of almost perfect health she was reduced to invalidism almost over night when stricken with neuritis and complications. She visited many places for medical attention but was able to get but little encouragement from the start. when she came to fully understand her condition, she settled down into a state of reconciliation and bided her misfortune with little word of complaint and with an abiding faith in her Creator. She suffered greatly at times but her patience, courage and faith were powerful factors in sustaining her and in her passing now she leaves a rich memory of service to her family, to her community and an example of courage and tolerance that will live long in the hearts of those who knew her and loved her most. Clara M. Miller was born at Hartington, Nebraska, March 24, 1884, and passed away at the home of her daughter Mrs. Clarence Cary with whom she was visiting at New Castle, Wyoming, November 13, 1936, at 7:30 p.m., being 52 years, 7 months and 20 days of age. She was united in marriage to Alonza L. Miller at Stockville, Nebraska on May 12, 1909. To this union two children were born, Vada Carey and Vernon, both of New Castle. she leaves to mourn her passing her husband, two daughters and one son, namely, Mrs. Ed Pinkerton of Benkelman, Mrs. Clarence Carey and Vernon Miller of New Castle, Wyoming, and five step-children, Hazel King of Casper, Wyoming; Marie McBride of New Castle; Gail and Francis of Benkelman, and one sister, Mrs. Ida Provanchia of LaGrange, Indiana, and 19 grandchildren and various other relatives and a host of friends.
