Description	:	Chelan – Clara L. Shively, 75, pioneer Chelan area resident, died Thursday in Lake Chelan Community Hospital following a brief illness. She was born Clara Barton on Oct. 7, 1907, in Lakeside and attended school there and in Chelan. She graduated from Chelan High School in 1926 and had been employed at Mundt's Drug Store and the Lakeside Post Office and Grocery. On Jan. 4, 1928, she married James Shively at Wenatchee. She was born Clara Barton on Oct. 7, 1907, in Lakeside and attended school there and in Chelan. She graduated from Chelan High School in 1926 and had been employed at Mundt's Drug Store and the Lakeside Post Office and Grocery. On Jan. 4, 1928, she married James Shively at Wenatchee. Since their marriage, they made their home in Lake Chelan valley. She was a member of the Little Stone Church for over 50 years. She was also a member of North Central Washington Child Evangelism and hosted the Good News Club in her home for 30 years. Survivors include her husband, Jim at home; two sons, Bart of Chelan and Dick of Moses Lake; three sisters, Ruth Blair of Manson, Elizabeth Anglin of Sunnyside and Roy Ellen Statum of Columbia Falls, Mont.; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and a brother. Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan, is in charge of arrangements.
