Description	:	Clara Lousie Schelbitzki was born in Chicago, Il., on August 3, 1920. She passed away at the home of her daughter in Scottsdale, AZ, on March 27, 1994. She was the first and only child of Roger Bollettini and Louisa Mandoli Bollettini, both immigrants to the United States from Italy. When she was eight, her mother died. Read More	Clara Lousie Schelbitzki was born in Chicago, Il., on August 3, 1920. She passed away at the home of her daughter in Scottsdale, AZ, on March 27, 1994. She was the first and only child of Roger Bollettini and Louisa Mandoli Bollettini, both immigrants to the United States from Italy. When she was eight, her mother died. Several years later her father and second wife, Grace had a daughter, Clara's only sister. After a childhood spent in Chicago and New Orleans, she entered the world of work at a young age to help support her family. In 1941, she met James A. Schelbitzki. They married on June 14, 1941, in Chicago. Six months after the birth of their first daughter, Linda, Jim was inducted into the army, and Clara moved to her parent's home to await the birth of their second daughter, Joyce, and he return from the war three years later. In 1945, Clara, Jim, and their daughters, Linda and Joyce, moved to a farm in Belle Prairie Township. A third daughter Carol, was born in 1949. Clara was active in the women's County Extension Homemakers clubs, the Alter Society of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Tobias, and the American Legion Women's Auxiliary. She supported her daughters in their activities and also worked at various times at the Fillmore County Hospital, Jack & Jill, and the Youth Development Center. After she and her husband moved to Geneva in 1967, she became an active member of the Women's Auxiliary of the VFW, the Altar Society of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Fillmore County Hospital Auxiliary and various bridge clubs. Her greatest joys were her family and friends. Her greatest sorrows were the deaths of her daughter, Joyce in 1970, and her husband James in 1988. In her last illness, which commenced in May of 1992, she lived with her daughters. She is survived by her sister Gloria Wrenn; her daughters, Carol Smith; and Linda (Charles) Pickle; and her granddaughter, Joyce Ellen Pickle. She is much missed by all who loved her.
