She was born on September 13, 1917 in Antwerp, Ohio, the daughter of the late John and Anna (Bulich) Meyer. She was a graduate of Antwerp High School. She was born on September 13, 1917 in Antwerp, Ohio, the daughter of the late John and Anna (Bulich) Meyer. She was a graduate of Antwerp High School. On May 7, 1938, Clara was united in marriage with Bernard A. Brown. He preceded her in death on May 8, 2008. Clara was co-owner of Hickory Hills Golf & Country Club in Hicksville for many years. She was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church, Hicksville and the Rosary Altar Society. She was also a member of the ladies golf league and Hicksville Eagles Auxiliary. Surviving Clara are four daughters- Patricia ( William) Grooms of Sarasota, FL, Diana (David) Brickel, Mary Brown, Cindy (Woody) Curry, all of Hicksville; three son-Terry (Sharon) of Hicksville, Gary (Mary) of Englewood, FL, Michael (Carol) of Findlay, OH; (25) grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren and (12) great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Lance and (12) siblings. Mass of Christian Burial for Clara will be Thursday at 10:30 at St. Michaels Catholic Church, Hicksville with Father Dave Cirata officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville with a prayer service at 7:30. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville. Memorials may be made to CHP Hospice or to the Donor's choice.
