She was married to Lon H. Pressnall on February 17, 1897, when she then moved to their own farm four miles southeast of Chester, where they lived until coming to Chester in 1922. Five children were born to this union - William of Beatrice, Nebraska; John of Winfield, Ks., Mrs. Lulla Frye of Byron, of Byron (NOTE: typed as written in newspaper); Harley of Graden Grove, California; and Mrs. Fern Smith of Cozad - all of whom survive her but John who preceded her in death on March 29, 1940. Soon after moving to Chester, she became a member of the Christian Church and has served it as a faithful and devoted member until her death. While she has never enjoyed the blessing of good health, her life was filled with the joy of the service for others. Her hands were never idle. She leaves to mourn her loss her devoted husband and four children; one sister, Mary Croop of Dayton, Oregon; two brothers - Seldon of Oskaloosa, Iowa and Otis Brown of Dayton, Oregon. Thirteen grandchildren are also left to mourn the loss of a devoted grandmother. Mrs. Hazel Naysmith, who has always looked upon her as a grandmother, helped care for her with the same devotion as other members of her family. She will be sadly missed by her friends and neighbors who knew that they would always fine (sic) her ready with a kind word of encouragement.
