CLARA GRIMM Funeral services for Clara Christine Grimm were held at the Central Christian Church, Boone, Iowa, June 11, 1966 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Walter Grimes, officiating. Two hymns, "Whispering Hope" and "Abide With Me" were sung by LaVerne D. Alsin, accompanied by Mrs. Lewis F. Ross. Pallbearers were Raymond Stevens, James Ahrens, Arlo Sturtz, Lyle Sturtz, Lowell Leininger and Alva Arrasmith. On the flower committee were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Berry and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Kreutner. Clara Christine Grimm, daughter of John and Lily Ahrens, was born at Boone, Iowa, June 10, 1898 and died at Phoenix, Ariz., June 6, 1966 at the age of 67 years, 11 months and 26 days. She was united in marriage to Roy Cleo Grimm at Adel, Iowa and two sons were born to this union. During her lifetime Mrs. Grimm had resided in Boone, Adel, Lorimer and Des Moines, Iowa, Champaign, Ill., and Phoenix, Ariz. She was a member of the Lorimer Christian Church at Lorimor, Iowa, and was active in the Women's Church Circles. She was also a member of the Navy Mother's Club and the V.F.W. Her hobbies were needlework and flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Survivors include her two sons, Duane Grimm of Phoenix, Ariz., and Merle Grimm of Park Forest, Ill.; three brothers, Bill Ahrens of Boone, Iowa, Elmer Ahrens of Iowa City, Iowa and Herman Ahrens of Ames, Iowa; and two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Sturtz of Boone, Iowa and Mrs. Marie Wirth of Redwood City, Calif.
