Description	:	Clara Fischer, 90, Strasburg, formerly of Linton, ND died Friday, March 2, 2007 in the Linton Hospital. Clara Fischer was born July 29, 1916, on a farm west of Strasburg, ND, the daughter of Kasper and Mary Ann (Hoff) Scherr. She attended school in the Strasburg area. Clara married Adam J. Fischer on October 19, 1936 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg. Following their marriage, they farmed ten miles east of Strasburg until 1980 when they moved to Linton. Clara Fischer was born July 29, 1916, on a farm west of Strasburg, ND, the daughter of Kasper and Mary Ann (Hoff) Scherr. She attended school in the Strasburg area. Clara married Adam J. Fischer on October 19, 1936 at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Strasburg. Following their marriage, they farmed ten miles east of Strasburg until 1980 when they moved to Linton. Adam died on December 8, 1987. Clara lived in Linton until July, 2004 when she entered the Strasburg Care Center. She was an active member of Craft Clubs. She was also very active with Christian Mothers and Senior Citizens. Clara stayed very busy making wedding flowers for numerous families. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many family members and friends. In her spare time she really enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. Clara is survived by six sons and one daughter-in-law: Eugene "Gene" Fischer of Milwaukee, WI, Willie Fischer and special friend, Lupe of Milwaukee, WI, Donnie Fischer and special friend, Ann of Milwaukee, WI, Bob Fischer of Lead SD, Kenny Fischer of Bismarck, ND and Gary and Janet Fischer of Lead, SD; four daughters and two sons-in-law: Sally and Herb Haltiner of Lead, SD, Darlene Fischer and special friend, Jim of Deadwood, SD, Diane Beck and special friend, Dennis of Linton, ND and Marilyn and Dean Schell of Linton, ND; twenty six grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law: Magdelina Fischer of Aberdeen, SD, Helen Fischer of Edgeley, ND and Eleanor Scherr of Oakes, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1987, three daughters-in-law: Irene Fischer, Rosie Fischer and Leona Fischer; six brothers: Adam, Chris, Leonard, Lawrence, John & Kasper; four sisters: twins Katie & Frances, Lizzie, and Mary; and grandson Jason Haltiner. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Linton, ND with Rev. Gary Benz officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Arrangements by Myers Funeral Home.
