Description	:	Clara Viola Capehart – Clara Viola Capehart, daughter of George and Sarah Capehart, was born in Audubon County Iowa, on June 7, 1877, and departed this life about three o'clock Wednesday afternoon, at her home in Kansas City, Mo., April 28, 1954 at the age of 76 years, 10 months, and 21 days. Read More	Clara Viola Capehart – Clara Viola Capehart, daughter of George and Sarah Capehart, was born in Audubon County Iowa, on June 7, 1877, and departed this life about three o'clock Wednesday afternoon, at her home in Kansas City, Mo., April 28, 1954 at the age of 76 years, 10 months, and 21 days. The greater part of her life was spent on the farm located in Guthrie County, Ia., located near the Divide Store. There she taught school and helped care for her invalid mother. Here she united with the Diamond Dell Methodist Church. Later Clara and her father moved to Guthrie Center, Iowa, where they resided for 17 years. Both she and her father then transferred their church membership to the First Methodist church of Guthrie Center. At this time she also affiliated with the Rebekah Lodge. After the death of her father, Clara moved to Kansas City, Mo., where she made her home for nearly thirty years. At first she did private nursing and later she maintained apartments. Survivors include nieces, Mrs. Mabel Gilson, Mrs. Minnie Lupardus, Mrs. Blanche Severin, all of Guthrie Center, Ia., Mrs. Dudley of Redfield, Mrs. Mabel Prochnow of Bloomington, Ill., and Mrs. Retta Fleak of Fort Dodge, Iowa; nephews, Mr. Arval Capehart of Gurthrie Center, Iowa, and Mr. Ray Capehart of Harrison, Ark., and other relatives and friends. A short prayer service Saturday afternoon, May first, conducted by Dr. L. H. Athey at the Koch Funeral Home in Guthrie Center, Iowa, preceded the trip by car to the service at Bowman Chapel Church near North Branch. Robert Artist and Clyde Newman sang "Beyond the Sunset," and "Does Jesus Care." Mrs. Clyde Newman, accompanist. Interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery. Bearers were Glen and Ivan Capehart, Cecil, Estel and Carrol Lupardus and Walter Severin. -- The Guthrian, Guthrie Center, Iowa, Tuesday, May 4, 1954, page eleven.
