Clarence was born as Clarence Hobart Kraft on 22 August 1925 to Hobart and Marie (Pfeifer) Kraft in Rockford, Illinois. Early in Clarence's life, Hobart abandoned his family. Clarence attended schools in Linton and Jamestown before his mother married Gust Cron, and the family moved to Bowbells in 1933. Clarence was born as Clarence Hobart Kraft on 22 August 1925 to Hobart and Marie (Pfeifer) Kraft in Rockford, Illinois. Early in Clarence's life, Hobart abandoned his family. Clarence attended schools in Linton and Jamestown before his mother married Gust Cron, and the family moved to Bowbells in 1933. In 1942, Clarence was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the Philippines and South Korea. After Clarence was honorably discharged in 1945, he legally changed his name to Clarence Bozo Cron. In 1950, Clarence met and married the love of his life, Doris Jeanette Haxton. They were blessed with two daughters, Debra Marie and Susan Gail. He studied radio electronics and auto body repair at Wahpeton State School of Science and later trained to professionally clean carpets. But; while helping his parents on their farm, he discovered that he truly enjoyed farming. While farming was his primary profession; he operated an auto body shop, cleaned carpets and moved buildings with his father to supplement his income. Clarence was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the American Legion in Bowbells. He also served on the Minnesota Township Board and as a bailiff. Clarence is survived by his wife, Doris Cron; his daughters Debra (Ronald) Plebuch and Susan (James) Woehl; his grandchildren by Debra, Gary and Grant Kemper; his grandchildren by Susan, Tasha Haaland, Shantel Biel and Jonathan Husebye; his step-grandchildren Jodi Woehl, Roxanne Trautman and Jayme Woehl; and many great-grandchildren, cousins, nephews and nieces. Clarence is also survived by his step-brother Dennis (Genie) Cron and his aunt Dorothea Pankow. Clarence was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Cron; his step-father, Gust Cron; his grandchild (by Susan), Levi John Husebye; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Clarence's memorial service was on September 12, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Bowbells, ND. Graveside service followed at the Bowbells Cemetery. Clarence Bozo Cron was a man who never met a stranger - only people he did not yet know. He enjoyed music, square dancing, bowling, joking, laughter, and especially having time with family and friends. Officiating Clergy: Rev.
