Description	:	Clarence Hans Simonsen, the only child of Louis Simonsen and Sena Andersen Simonsen, died Friday at Parkview Haven Nursing Home, Deshler. He was 77. The funeral was Wednesday at the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Heydenberk officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Read More	Clarence Hans Simonsen, the only child of Louis Simonsen and Sena Andersen Simonsen, died Friday at Parkview Haven Nursing Home, Deshler. He was 77. The funeral was Wednesday at the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Heydenberk officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Simonsen was born on a farm near Hardy, March 20 1914 and attended grade school at Valley Home, east of Superior, and Superior High School. He served for three years in the United States Army during World War II, stationed in Florida, France and England. He was united in marriage Feb. 26, 1956, to Margaret M. Savage, mother of a small daughter, Sharon, at the United Methodist Church, Superior. To this union two children were born. The Simonsen's farmed and made their home east of Superior until he retired and moved into town. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 103, and a member of the United Methodist Church for more than 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, son, Lynn, Superior ,two daughters. Mrs. Bruce Fullerton (Linda), Superior, and Mrs. Gary Thieme (Sharon), Gilbert, Ariz., seven grandchildren, Janet and Derek Simonsen and Jared and Rebecca Fullerton, Superior, Jason Thieme, Greenville, S.C., Melissa and Travis Thieme, Gilbert.
