He was born in Ottumwa July 31, 1926 [sic], the son of Clarence and Hazel Bonney Parker. He had lived in California for about 10 years. Survivors include two daughters, Joan Oswald and Shirley Parker of California; four sons, Bruce Parker, Roy Parker and Robert Parker, all of California, and Eddie Parker in the service in Italy; several grandchildren; three brothers, Jack Parker of Ottumwa, S. Sgr. Russell (Gene) Parker of Fort Benning, Ga. and Jimmy Parker of Ottumwa; and three sisters, Mrs. Irene Wintermote of Chicago, Marie Fuller of Ottumwa and Frances Kohler of Detroit Lakes, Minn. The body is being returned to the Jay Funeral Home where services are pending. --------------- "Parker Services," From "Ottumwa Courier," Monday, January 8, 1973, Page 10: The funeral for Clarence Parker, who died Thursday in Long Beach, Calif., will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Jay Funeral Home with the Rev. A.D. Pringle of the Ottumwa Baptist Temple officiating. Burial will be in the Shaul Cemetery. He was preceded in death by one daughter. Pallbearers will be Ronald Cassill, Harry Staton, Max Songer, P.L. Davis, Larry McKim and Harold Kimball.
