He had been ill for the past years and had entered the hospital early Thursday morning. He was born July 30, 1894, in Yale, Kansas, and had lived in Pittsburg area most of his life. He married Eva A. He had been ill for the past years and had entered the hospital early Thursday morning. He was born July 30, 1894, in Yale, Kansas, and had lived in Pittsburg area most of his life. He married Eva A. Jackson on October 11, 1915, in Lamar. He worked in the coal mines and later for Dickey Clay for 19 years. He had been self employed as a carpenter as long as his health permitted. Survivors include the widow, of the home; two daughers, Alta M. Jones, 107 1/2 West Third and Geraldeane Ridley, Baldwin City; one brother, Orville Yeokum, Mesa, Arizona; one sister, Nadine Justus, Palo Verde, California; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. One son, Orville Yeokum, Mesa, Arizona [sic], preceded him in death, July 6, 1974. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Bath Funeral Home with Elder T. W. Bath officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories. Friends may call at the funeral home or the family home on West Kansas.
