Description	:	Obituary Excerpt, The Pittsburg Headlight-Sun, July 7, 1974: Orville L. Yeokum, 54, of 220 West Washington, was dead on arrival shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. He was rushed to the hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home according to Crawford County Coroner Dr. Samuel Muller. He was born August 12, 1919, in Pittsburg and had been a lifetime resident of the area. He married Mary Margaret Gillenwater on June 9, 1939, in Pittsburg. Mr. Yeokum was an insurance salesman from 1947 unto 1960. He then worked for Foodtown until 1970 and since that time has been self employed as painter and decorator and also bought and sold antiques. He served in the Army during World War II. Membership was held in the First United Methodist Church and the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, of the home; one daughter; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Yeokum of 221 West Kansas; two sisters, Geraldine Ridley of Baldwin and Alta Mae Jones of 307 East Sixth and three grandsons.
