Description	:	Clarine R. Jones, 81, of Herington, died Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, at her home. She was born on January 14, 1928, at Herington, the daughter of Peter & Clara B. (Schaaf) Diepenbrock. Funeral services will be 10 a.m.Saturday at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Herington, with Pastor Bill Peterson officiating; burial will follow at the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Herington Chapel, Friday from 2-7 p.m., and where the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday. She graduated from the Wesley School of Nursing in 1949, and began working in Anchorage, Alaska, then in Long Beach, California, and finally at Seattle, Washington, before returning back to Herington in 1957. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Herington. She graduated from Herington High School with the class of 1945. She married Lorenzo C. Jones on July 19, 1950, in Benton County, Arkansas; he preceded her in death on March 11, 1991. She is also preceded in death by a brother Milton Diepenbrock on Nov 10, 1997 and her parents. She is survived by three sons Lynn Jones (wife Joan) of Chapman, Bruce Jones (wife Vicky) of Blaire, NE, and Rusty Jones (wife Linay) of Herington; a sister, Elinor Remy of Burkick; a brother, Harold Diepenbrock of Herington; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. The family request memorials to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Herington and may be sent in care of the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Herington. From the Council Grove Republican, Sept. 2, 2009
