The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, July 21, 1960 ================================ Clarissa Mae Teachout was born April 30, 1885, the daughter of Mary Eliza and William Henry Teachout of Des Moines, Ia., and died July 21, 1960, in the Nuckolls County Nursing Home in Nelson, where she had made her home since March 1958. She married Myron F. Joy at Des Moines in the year 1907. They and their family moved to Angus, Nebr., in 1921 and in 1933 moved their residence to Nelson, Nebr. Born to this couple were Mary Ellen, Marjorie, Irma, Albert, Henry, Myron Frank and Robert. Mrs. Joy was preceded in death by her husband, Myron F. Joy, who died on Nov. 26, 1954, at Nelson and two sisters, Ella and Zelpha. She is survived by her children: Mary Ellen Cornett of Woodburn, Ore.; Marjorie Brown, Irma Dearing, and Henry Joy, all of York, Nebr.; Albert R. Joy of Aurora, Colo.; and Myron Frank Joy and Robert Joy of Nelson, fifteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held July 23 in the Klawitter chapel at Nelson. Burial was made in the Nelson cemetery (sic). The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, July 28, 1960
