Thelma preceded him in death in 1927. Clark was a successful farmer and stockman and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. Those who mourn his passing are his wife, Mrs Fae Kinney of the home; a son, Scott Kinney of Scranton; a daughter, Mrs Bonolyn Snyder, Chateareax, France; six grandchildren; a half sister, Mrs Myrtle Voorhees, Fairview, Okla.; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Monday at the Congregational Church in Carbondale, Rev Clifton Kruse officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs Gilbert Norton and Mrs Robert Hug singing "Old Rugged Cross" and "In The Garden", accompanied on the piano by Mrs John Waetzig. Casket bearers were Wilson Karnes, Leon Little, O C Drummond, Clair Coffman, Blair Cooper, George Latter, Fred Spare and Joe Luthey. Interment was in Ridgeway Cemetery. OVERBROOK CITIZEN-Dec 11, 1958-pg 7 Col 1-Vol 70 No 50 Funeral arrangements are pending for Clark Kinney, 69, who suffered a fatal heart attack Thursday night at his birthplace east of Carbondale. He was born March 14, 1889, at the Kinney homestead and spent his life on the same farm. He is survived by his wife, Mrs Fae Kinney of the home; a son, Scott Kinney of Scranton; a daughter, Mrs Bonalyn Snyder of Chateareaux, France; six grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs Voorhees of Fairview, Ok. Baker funeral home of Overbrook is in charge of arrangements. TOPEKA STATE JOURNAL-Dec 5, 1958 pg 22 Notice in the Topeka State Journal for December 8, 1958 states that Clark Kinney died December 2.
