Description	:	Claude Basil Hawkesworth 1935 Bridgewater Bulletin On Saturday evening, December 14th, Claude Basil Hawkesworth, passed away at his home here, after a lengthy illness, the after-effects of measles which he contracted nearly seven years ago, while on his way home from the United States to attend the funeral of his brother, Robert. Claude was a young man of fine personality, and bore his long illness with great patience. Read More	Claude Basil Hawkesworth 1935 Bridgewater Bulletin On Saturday evening, December 14th, Claude Basil Hawkesworth, passed away at his home here, after a lengthy illness, the after-effects of measles which he contracted nearly seven years ago, while on his way home from the United States to attend the funeral of his brother, Robert. Claude was a young man of fine personality, and bore his long illness with great patience. For six years he had been a patient at the Kentville Sanatorium, but was brought home last June, and had failed gradually since then, the end coming not unexpectedly. He is survived by his parents; four brothers, James, Bruce, Earl, and Cecil; two sisters, Janetta and Hazel; and two aged grandmothers, Mrs. Letty Hawkesworth of this place, and Mrs. Sarah Hirtle, of Farmington; also a large circle of other relatives and friends who sincerely regret his early passing. Besides the brother above mentioned, a sister, Lila, predeceased him some five and a half years ago at the age of twenty-one. The funeral service was held at the home on Tuesday afternoon, the 17th., and was conducted by Rev. B.G. Smith. Interment was made at Indian Brook Cemetery. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
