He was born in Westville, Okla., to James Franklin and Roxie Ann Folsom Grisham March 6, 1903, in the Westville Indian Territory. He was born in Westville, Okla., to James Franklin and Roxie Ann Folsom Grisham March 6, 1903, in the Westville Indian Territory. After attending school in Westville, he married, Viola Wiggins April 22, 1922, at Okmulgee, Okla. They resided in Great Bend, Kan.;and Nowata, Okla., before moving to their present home in Superior in 1981. Their union was blessed with two children. Grisham served 45 years in the ministry with the Church of God, Independent Holiness. He also served for 36 years as a pumper and oil guager for the Sunray DX Oil Company. Often during his free time, he ministered in prisons and retirement homes, preaching in local churches and visiting the ill. Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Levi and Ed Grisham. He is survived by his wife, Viola; son, James Franklin Grisham, Superior; daughter, Mrs, James Earl Foster (Grace Leona), Great Bend; a sister, Eva Monteith, Oklahoma City, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and many other relatives. The Rev, Leland Smith, pastor of the Church of The Nazarene, officiated. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Superior Express December 28, 1989.
