Father; Paul Wagner Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent Friday, 7 February 1919 "Briefs From All Around The County - Worms" Claus Wagner was born near Worms, Neb., on the 4th day of February, 1901, and passed away January 31st at Kansas City, Mo., at the age of 17 years, 11 months and 27 days. He left here a short time ago to attend an auto school at Kansas City, and took sick with pneumonia which caused his death. He leaves to mourn his loss the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wagner, one brother, Bruno Wagner of Grand Island, and two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Simonson and Stella Wagner, the latter being at home. The funeral took place last Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Lutheran church, the Rev. W. Ludwig officiating. The pallbearers were: Martin Brase, Willie Meyer, William Tegeler, John Glause, Bill Meyer and August Helzer. Interment was made in the Worms cemetery. Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent Monday, 3 February 1919 The remains of Claus Wagner, son of Paul E. Wagner, will arrive in this city tomorrow morning from Kansas City, where he died last Friday. Funeral services will be held from the home near Worms on Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock and at 2 o'clock from the church at Worms. Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent Friday, 31 January 1919 Relatives at St. Libory received word today of the death of Claus Wagner, son of Paul Wagner of St. Libory, which occurred this morning at Kansas City, Mo., where he had gone about two weeks ago to take special work in an auto school. Death resulted after a brief illness from pneumonia. He was about 18 years of age. The remains will be brought to St. Libory for burial.
