Description	:	Paul Ernst Wagner, resident of the Worms community for the past 61 years, passed away at his home, one mile west of Worms, Monday evening August 15, death being attributed to a stroke of apoplexy. He had been in poor health for the past four years. He was 68 years, 6 months and 16 days of age. Read More	Paul Ernst Wagner, resident of the Worms community for the past 61 years, passed away at his home, one mile west of Worms, Monday evening August 15, death being attributed to a stroke of apoplexy. He had been in poor health for the past four years. He was 68 years, 6 months and 16 days of age. Discovery of his death was made by a granddaughter when she went to his home Tuesday morning and found him lying in the kitchen. Medical aid was summoned at once, but the attending physician expressed belief that death had occurred hours previously, probably about 7 o'clock Monday evening. Born in Germany on January 28, 1870, he came to America with his parents when he was about seven years of age. The family took up a homestead 1/2 mile west of Worms and had lived on the homestead and the adjoining farm since that time. He was united in marriage to Miss Antonia Buchfinck at Grand Island on July 3, 1894 and to them were born four children, two sons and two daughters. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Worms. He was very well liked by all who knew him. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Hattie Simonson and Mrs. Stella Glause of St. Libory, one son Bruno Wagner of Grand Island, 11 grandchildren, one great-grandson, one brother, Bernard Wagner of Broken Arrow, Okla, one sister, Mrs. Lydia Windfield of Chapman and many other relatives and friends. His wife preceded him in death on December 3, 1924, an 18-year-old son, Claus, passed away January 31, 1919, and two grandsons had preceded him in death. (Funeral details followed.)
