It is with the heaviest of hearts that the family of Clayton Fredericks announces his passing on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville with his family at his side. Born September 3, 1925 in Torbrook, NS, Clayton was the youngest son of the late Ella (Mosher) and Edward Fredericks. Clayton was the last sibling of his family, he was also predeceased by a son Gardell “Bumpy.” Clayton worked all his life as a labourer providing for his family. His enjoyment and many friendships were made through his love of hunting and his deep passion of salmon fishing on the LaHave River. Clayton is survived by his wife Joyce (Crouse) of 61 years; daughters, Debbie and Bob Thorsen, Torbrook; Elissa and Thomas Brown, Bloomington; Marla and Brian Morton, Wilmot; sons, Danny and Jean Fredericks, Millville: John Bigelow, British Columbia; Terry and Sheila Bigelow, Sackville; Jeff Fredericks, South Williamston; several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in the Torbrook Mines United Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
