Description	:	Clell Elwood Joudrey - One of this county's best known and most respected resients, Clell Elwood Joudrey of Elmwood, died on July 10, 1981, after a short illness. Mr. Joudrey was born at Elmwood March 8, 1926, the only son of Eldon and Alma (Eisnor) Joudrey. Read More	Clell Elwood Joudrey - One of this county's best known and most respected resients, Clell Elwood Joudrey of Elmwood, died on July 10, 1981, after a short illness. Mr. Joudrey was born at Elmwood March 8, 1926, the only son of Eldon and Alma (Eisnor) Joudrey. When as young as nine years of age, he displayed his adeptness with the old-time fiddle, accompanying his father at local dances and performing at the Lake William Guides' Meets. During recent years, he was consistently recognized as one of the top performers at the Maritime Oldtime Fiddling Contest, and earned first place in 1979 and 1980 for the best reel. In 1980, he was winner of the first place Harvestfest Trophy at the Truro Harvestfest. In 1978, he cut a long-playing record, "Fantastic Fiddlin'", which gained recognition among oldtime music lovers everywhere. More than 30 years ago, he became one of Lunenburg County's early exporters of Christmas trees, developing an interest in that industry which led to the formation of the Scotia Best Christmas Tree Limited Company in 1976. Mr. Joudrey is survived by his wife, the former Dale Dorey; one daughter, Hope (Mrs. James Campbell), Conquerall Mills; two sons, Terry, of Elmwood and Wade, of Bridgewater; his mother, and three grandchildren. The funeral service was conducted at Saint Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater, with burial at the Elmwood Cemetery. Murray Jodries files
