Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church at Aloys with Reverend Gerald Gonderinger as celebrant. Wake Services will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday at St. Aloysius with Deacon Bill Schlautman officiating. Burial in the church Cemetery with lunch following in the church rectory. Clemens, the younger twin, was born in the early moments of July 5, 1922 on the family farm just southwest of Aloys, one day later than older twin, John. The proud parents were Ferdinand and Margaret Stieren Groene. Their whole family was baptized, schooled and confirmed at St. Aloysius Catholic Church and School , a short distance from the farm. In 1947, their father moved the young, farmer twin brothers to a farm north of Howells where they spent their lives, working and living with, and caring for each other. They boys retired in the 1980's, but remained active, enjoying life, and their dogs. Clemens was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Howells. Survivors include twin brother John, currently of Schuyler, brother Hubert of West Point, sister Elizabeth Ernesti of West Point, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by brothers, Joseph, Paul and Edward and sisters Gertrude Groene and Theresa Peatrowsky.
