Merrick Manor in Fremont. She was born March 10, 1918, in Aloys to Ferdinand and Margaret (Stieren) Groene. She grew up at Aloys. She married Bernard J. Peatrowsky on Jan. 9, 1946, at Aloys. After her marriage, the couple lived in West Point. She worked at Strehle's Cafe in West Point. They moved to Fremont in 1960 and Teresa was employed at Fremont Area Medical Center, Hillside Dairy Store and the Best Western Motel, all in Fremont. Her husband preceded her in death Oct. 21, 2002. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. Survivors include: two sons, Thomas (and wife, Marie) Peatrowsky of Fremont and Gerald (and wife, Caryl) Peatrowsky of Maple Grove, Minn.; a daughter, Mary (and husband, Tom) Oswood of St. Louis Park, Minn.; three brothers, Clemens and John Groene, both of Howells, and Hubert Groene of Aloys; two sisters, Gertrude Groene of Aloys and Elizabeth Ernesti of West Point; seven grandchildren and a great-grandson. She also was preceded in death by three brothers.
